The Christmas season is known as a time of peace and charity, a holiday where we celebrate all the best of humanity.

To help celebrate the season, the Carlyle RCMP Detachment is playing host to the annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 4.

Falling during the Dickens Village Festival, the breakfast gives visitors and residents alike an opportunity to sit down in fellowship and enjoy a hearty, hot breakfast.

The breakfasts, which are given at a cost of a non-perishable food item, which will go to the local food bank, will be held in the lower hall of Memorial Hall in Carlyle, located directly on Main Street.

As with breakfasts in the past, the RCMP has confirmed that a special guest will be in attendance to meet and greet people at the meal.

Definitely the man of the hour, Santa Claus has confirmed the date, and will be on-hand throughout the breakfast to listen to wish lists, and share out some holiday cheer.

The breakfast is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. that morning, and food will continue to be served right through until 10 a.m.

So come on out, donate to an excellent cause, meet the members of the local RCMP, spend some time with Santa, and get into the holiday spirit!
