SOUTHEY — Southey RCMP have released a composite sketch in the investigation into the report of a sexual assault of a preteen child in Govan on June 9.
The sketch, prepared by a Saskatchewan RCMP sketch artist, is of the male suspect involved.
“We’re asking the public to take a look at this drawing. Does he look like someone you know, or have you seen him somewhere?” says Southey RCMP Sgt. Kim Stewart. “If you have, please report what you know. It may be the bit of information we need to further this investigation.”
The suspect is described as between 28 and 30 years old, between five foot seven and five foot 10, of medium build, with dark hair, brown eyes and dark, bushy eyebrows. He is also described as having yellowed teeth.
He was driving a black truck when he approached the victim before assaulting her.
At the time of the assault, RCMP released information and a description to the public in case anyone had relevant information and as a possible warning.
Stewart said “...we don’t want to cause panic but do want to provide the public information about this incident so that they can take safety precautions and have conversations with young family members about it, as they deem appropriate.”
