Holy Family staff make planters for newcomers to Weyburn

The employees of Holy Family RCSSD #140 Central Office created front porch planters, delivered to Southeast Newcomer Services.

WEYBURN – The employees of Holy Family RCSSD #140 Central Office participated in their annual faith retreat on May 29.

After starting the day with Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, the team returned to Dominic Place for a community service activity.

The 'many hands made light work' created over a dozen front porch planters that have been delivered to Southeast Newcomer Services for sharing with families who have newly arrived and settled in Weyburn.

All the team members, including all departments (clergy, education, business, maintenance and facilities, informational technology as well as student services), were busy adding plants, ornaments, solar lights and prayer cards to the planters for Weyburn’s newest families to enjoy.

Maria, community SWIS worker, was on hand to receive the gifts and express gratitude.
