Jerry Mainil Ltd. celebrates 50 years

Jerry Mainil Ltd. kicked off its 50th year at the Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show with a fireworks display that rivalled Weyburn's Canada Day celebrations.

Boyd, who was also the honorary chairperson for the Oil Show, congratulated the Mainil family on the 50th anniversary of Jerry Mainil Ltd. The Mainil's put on a fireworks display at the Exhibition Grounds on June 1 to share their celebration with the rest of the Oil Show goers.

Jerry Mainil Ltd. kicked off its 50th year at the Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show with a fireworks display that rivalled Weyburn's Canada Day celebrations.

Patriarch Jerry, now 76, has passed the oilfield services company down to the next generation, his sons Dale and Dennis and son-in-law Calvin Tracey took over in 1992.

Jerry is still involved with his oil company, Caprice Resources, and along with other members of the Mainil clan, the family farm operation, Jeranda Holdings, which farms about 17,000 acres.

Jerry said he is proud to see the third generation of Mainil's joining the family businesses - his grandchildren.

"It's nice to see the kids and grandkids get into it and see it keep going," said Jerry.
