Lampman man faces charges

On 2011-05-29 at 35 minutes past midnight the RCMP in Carnduff received a complaint of a 19 year male being struck by a vehicle in the Village of Alameda.

On 2011-05-29 at 35 minutes past midnight the RCMP in Carnduff received a complaint of a 19 year male being struck by a vehicle in the Village of Alameda. RCMP members attended the scene and conducted an investigation which revealed that the 19 year old Oxbow male was one of several passengers in a converted school bus being operated within the village of Alameda when he fell out of the vehicle. The injured male was taken by ambulance to hospital in Oxbow where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the bus, 18 year old Mitchell GRIMES of Lampman, Saskatchewan has been charged with section 252 of the Criminal Code, failing to remain at the scene of an accident and is to appear in Carnduff Provincial Court on July 7th, 2011. The RCMP Traffic Analyst and the Carnduff Detachment are continuing to investigate the accident. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
