Lieutenant-Governor Mirasty to pay a visit to Weyburn on Feb. 27

Saskatchewan’s vice-regal representative of King Charles, Lt.-Gov. Russ Mirasty, will be paying a visit to Weyburn on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

WEYBURN – Saskatchewan’s vice-regal representative of King Charles will be paying a visit to Weyburn on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty will visit St. Michael School at 10 a.m., where he will give a short address to the students in an assembly with Grade 4-9 students.

The Lieutenant Governor will then join a Grade 4 class for a short Q-and-A session. 

Afterward, the Lieutenant Governor will be visiting the Weyburn branch of the Royal Canadian Legion to attend a luncheon.

He will be presenting Harold Whiteoak with the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers.

Whiteoak voluntarily looks after all of the Legion’s membership questions and maintains all of the branch’s membership records.

In the afternoon, he will be visiting Parkway Lodge to have tea with the residents at 2 p.m.

At all three locations His Honour will speak for a few minutes and his remarks will include official greetings and a bit about the role of Lieutenant-Governor.
