An up and coming singer from the Weyburn area, along with an established country star who grew up in Midale, will be part of the "Flood of Relief" benefit concert to be held in Regina on Friday, July 22.

Lexie Tytlandsvik, a 14-year-old Radville singer, is the daughter of Allan and Allison Tytlandsvik, and recently was a winner of the Big Country Talent Revue, and is currently being featured on YTV on the national show, "The Next Star".

The established singer, Brad Johner, will be the headliner for the benefit concert, which is being held to aid flood victims in Saskatchewan, some of whom are still trying to recover from the damages caused.

The concert will be held under the big top, with a large tent to be set up at Albert Street and College Avenue in front of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, with music getting underway at 6 p.m.

Admission to the concert will be free, but donations will be received to go towards the flood victims, with income tax receipts available. In addition, hot dogs and ice cream will be for sale.

Other performers will include Darlene Tuleta, Brandy Young, Jackie and Jason, and the Steve Gibson Band. A guest at the concert will be Sharon Wells, deputy mayor of Roche Percee.
