New art pieces installed in city council chambers

A new 13-piece commissioned art piece is unveiled to the public for the first time at a reception held on Thursday evening at City Hall, in the council chambers.

A new 13-piece commissioned art piece is unveiled to the public for the first time at a reception held on Thursday evening at City Hall, in the council chambers. From left are Mayor Debra Button, artist Heather van der Breggen, Tom and Gail Minard, and Rickee-Lee Webster, Heather's daughter. The Minards commissioned Heather to do the painting, and the painting was then donated to the City of Weyburn for the city's Permanent Art Collection at a special reception for an invitation-only audience.
