ESTEVAN - The Estevan Community Hamper Association and its Angel Tree program benefited from the November Smile Cookie fundraiser at Tim Hortons.

Estevan Tim Hortons franchise owners Ryan and Mandy Irwin presented a cheque for $4,150 to the hamper association Thursday morning. The money was raised through the sale of Smile Cookies at the restaurant's Fourth Street and King Street locations.

A total of $8,301 was raised through Smile Cookie sales in Estevan. The remaining money will be donated to the Tim Hortons Foundation's camps.

Jolie Bayda with the Community Hamper Association said the money from the smile cookies will go towards the needs of the association and the Angel Tree as Christmas approaches. The deadline to submit an application for a hamper is Dec. 1.

The Angel Tree will be set up at the Estevan Walmart starting on Dec. 4. Drop-off locations will be at Fired-Up Grill, Soul Hideout and DMS Services, in addition to Walmart.
