One person facing several charges after weekend incident in Estevan

ESTEVAN - The Estevan Police Service has announced several charges after an incident on the weekend. 

Police received a call Sunday from a local business owner just west of the city limits. It was reported a person was intoxicated, out of control and damaging property. 

Officers attended and arrested a 33-year-old Langenburg man for mischief and being intoxicated in a public place. He was lodged in cells and will appear in court Monday morning for several counts of uttering threats, mischief to property, impaired driving, refusing to provide a breath sample, assaulting a police officer and breaching release conditions out of Yorkton.

In other recent police news, members were called to a disturbance in the Westview area. Police attended and mediated a resolution between the parties at the residence.

Police were called to a break and enter in the Westview area. A male entered a family home while the property owners were there. He left prior to police arriving. The matter is still under investigation.

Police located three properties that were insecure when doing property checks Friday evening. The properties were secured and no further action was required.

Members received a call through the Report Impaired Drivers line. The vehicle was not located.

Police received a report of a male yelling outside an apartment building in the downtown core. The male had left prior to police arriving.
