Pangman student awarded Chancellor’s scholarship for U of S

Grade 12 student Skylar White of Pangman School was awarded a $30,000 scholarship to the University of Saskatchewan.

Ally Cheretz, a student recruitment officer from the University of Saskatchewan, presented the Chancellor’s Scholarship Circle of Honour, worth $30,000, to Skylar White, a Grade 12 student at Pangman School. Skylar has maintained an average of 95 per cent, and will be taking biomedical sciences at the U of S.

PANGMAN – Skylar White, a Grade 12 student at Pangman School, recently received the Chancellor’s Scholarship Circle of Honour award from the University of Saskatchewan.

To receive this premier entrance scholarship for $30,000, Skylar has maintained an academic average about 95 per cent.

In the fall, Skylar will begin her studies in Biomedical Sciences at the U of S and is working to pursue a career as a surgeon.

Skylar has been a student at Pangman School since Kindergarten. As a student, she has participated in SRC as a member and past president, played badminton and volleyball, and is a member of the Yearbook Committee.

She has also received her Grade 10 piano examinations. Skylar currently works at the local café in Pangman, and has also been a lifeguard at Pangman Swimming Pool during the summer months.
