Carlyle RCMP detachment are investigating a hit and run with a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 10:00 pm on Sunday, July 18, 2010 on the Main Grid on the Whitebear First Nation reserve, located north of Carlyle, SK.

The victim, a 41 year old local man, suffered severe non life threatening injuries and is listed in serious but stable condition at a hospital in Regina. Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a dark coloured pickup with the driver's side headlight burnt out. It is possible that the driver of that vehicle may not have realized what had occurred as the victim was laying on the roadway when struck and another vehicle was approaching from the opposite direction.Anyone with information regarding this incident or any other criminal offence is urged to call Crimestoppers or the Carlyle RCMP at306-453-6707.
