Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of January 16 to 22:

During the reporting period, police dealt with 75 calls for service. Three separate complaints were due to noise, 12 were hit and run accidents, eight calls were for commercial alarms and four were for residential alarms. Police also dealt with two separate incidents regarding harassing phone calls and texts. In both cases, once police became involved the harassment stopped.

*Police wish to remind motorists that the sidewalks, streets and parking lots are quite slippery and extra driving caution is urged.

*On January 20, police were called to a local bar to deal with a fight. A 26 year old male and a 34 year old male were removed from the bar.

*On January 19, police were called regarding the wellbeing of a person staying in a motor-home which was parked on city property. Police located a 38 year old male in the motor-home. He was okay and was told to move vehicle off of City property.

*On January 18, police were called to a domestic disturbance between a 18 year old female and a 27 year old male. Police kept the peace while the female gathered her belongings and left the residence.

*On January 18, police were called to a local bar to remove a 25 year old male who was causing a disturbance.

*On January 17, police were called a local restaurant regarding a theft of a jersey. Police located a 28 year old male wearing the jersey at a local bar. The jersey was recovered and restaurant was satisfied when jersey was recovered.

*Police were called to a local bar to deal with a customer that refused to leave. Police spoke to a 41 year old male, who left the bar.

*On January 16, police were called to a government office regarding death threats being uttered. A 55 year old male was arrested and charged. He appeared in court on January 17 and was released on conditions.
