Police investigate car fire

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of September 20 to 26: *On September 25, police received a complaint in regards to a vehicle fire at the east end of Weyburn. Someone had thrown fireworks into the vehicle, causing the fire.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of September 20 to 26:

*On September 25, police received a complaint in regards to a vehicle fire at the east end of Weyburn. Someone had thrown fireworks into the vehicle, causing the fire. The matter is still under investigation.

*Police received a complaint in regards to a break and enter to a vacant home on South Hill. Nothing appeared to be stolen but there was damage done to the door. Police continue to investigate.

*Police received a complaint of a laptop computer being stolen out of a vehicle on the east side of Weyburn.

*On September 24, police answered to a domestic complaint on the east side of Weyburn. Investigation resulted in a local young woman being charged with two counts of assault with a weapon.She will appear in Weyburn Court on Tuesday, September 28.

*The Weyburn Police Service dealt with 119 calls for service during this reporting period.
