It was a relatively quiet Christmas on the policing front, according to information released by the Estevan Police Service (EPS) following the yule holiday season.

On Dec. 22 EPS members responded to a call of concern coming from a local retail parking lot.
When police attended the scene around 3:15 p.m., they charged three men with being in possession of marijuana and for having open liquor in a vehicle. All three now have a Jan. 17 court date.

On the night of Dec. 26 one 27-year-old man was arrested for being intoxicated in public and for resisting arrest while a 49-year-old man was charged for failing to supply a breath sample during a roadside screening procedure.

Between Dec. 26, and 27 a 19-year-old man was charged for being in breach of an undertaking and arrested on warrants that had been issued by the Regina Police Service.

During that same two-day period, EPS members issued one 24-hour driver's licence suspension and five summary offence tickets were issued for various other offences.

EPS members also opened up an investigation into an assault complaint that resulted in bodily harm being inflicted on an 18-year-old man who was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment as a result of the incident.
