On October 15th, 2010 at approximately 11:00 a.m., members of the Carlyle RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Highway #13 near Forget (7miles east of Stoughton). Five occupants were subsequently arrested for "Possession a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking." RCMP seized two ounces of cocaine, 600 Ecstasy pills, seven ounces of magic mushrooms, 1.7 lbs of cannabis, marijuana seeds and drug related property. In all, the street value for the drugs is estimated at $20,000. The five accused face a total of 40 drug charges. Regina Integrated Drug unit is assisting with the investigation.
Trevor DESJARLAIS (28), James TEUNISSEN (27) and John CAMPBELL (20) from Vancouver B.C. have been remanded to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on Monday, October 18th, 2010.
Virgil SAMMY (49) and Susan LITTLECHIEF (58) both from Regina , SK have been released on conditions before Justice of the Peace and are to attend Carlyle Provincial Court Wednesday, November 24th, 2010.
