REGINA — Now that Karl Carbonell has won $100,000, he will be able to park his vehicles out of the weather.

When Carbonell scanned his ticket for the June 21 Lotto Max draw using the Lotto Spot! App, he couldn’t believe his eyes. He had won $100,000!

“I said ‘Is this for real?!’ I saw a couple zeroes and I had to count them one by one,” he said while claiming his prize.

The winner scanned the ticket four more times before he went inside to share the good news with his wife.

“I ran back in and scared her because she thought something was wrong,” he laughed.

Carbonell purchased his ticket from the Sherwood Co-Op at 1181 N Argyle St., Regina. He won by matching the last six winning Extra numbers for the June 21 Lotto Max draw – 2167779.

The happy Regina resident has a few plans for his windfall.

“We’ve always wanted to build a garage for the house. We’ll put some towards our mortgage and our son’s education as well.”
