The provincial government has announced more support for a new nursing home in Estevan.

REGINA - The provincial government has committed additional funds towards a new regional nursing home in Estevan.

The document, released Wednesday by Finance Minister Donna Harpauer, shows there is $1 million for long-term care in the city.

This marks the third straight year that the provincial government has had money in the budget for the project, although the money for the 2023-24 fiscal year is greater than it was the two previous years.

The new Estevan Regional Nursing Home committee has had the necessary 20 per cent in funding for a new building to proceed since 2015.
