A crew of city workers empties sandbags on the Government Road bridge on Monday morning as they begin taking down the flood dikes. The dikes were set up as part of the effort the combat the flooding that has plagued the area since a torrential rainfall hit the city and area on June 17. As the water level of the Souris River has been subsiding, the City of Weyburn decided it was time to remove the dikes.
