SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN - There are still a few weather warnings in effect in southern Saskatchewan Monday morning.

The snowfall warning that was in effect for communities in southwest and south-central Saskatchewan is now over. Those warnings had covered a large area, including Moose Jaw, Regina, Assiniboia and Swift Current.

Due to the amount of snow received, many roads in the southwest and south-central regions were closed as of Monday morning. Travel is not recommended on many other roads.

Also, the special weather statement for the Carlyle area has been lifted.

The snowfall warning for the Estevan and Weyburn areas was lifted Monday morning.

A winter storm warning remains in effect for the Moosomin and Kipling areas.

While most of the warnings have been lifted, communities in southern Saskatchewan are still receiving freezing rain and snow, and encountering strong winds.
