Volunteers from the community, along with members of the Weyburn Fire Department and Weyburn Police Service, comb carefully through mounds of refuse at the Weyburn landfill on Monday, during a community search for a dead infant's body which was allegedly disposed of in a dumpster. The searching began on Thursday with 12 men, and continued throughout the weekend, with 60 volunteers coming out on Monday in answer to a call from the city police to assist them in the search, including the use of a trained cadaver dog. As of Tuesday morning, nothing had yet been found. A 33-year-old Weyburn woman, Angela Vermeulen, faces charges of disposing of a dead body and offering an indignity to a dead body, both charges under the Criminal Code of Canada.
