Warmer summer months, with increased precipitation

The summer months of June, July and August were slightly warmer than average, and the City of Weyburn received increased more precipitation than the long-term average. Recorded in August, the average high was 26.9 degrees Celsius, compared to 24.

Recorded in August, the average high was 26.9 degrees Celsius, compared to 24.6 degrees in 2010. The hottest day of August was the 22nd, when temperatures rose to 34.0 degrees.

The average low was 13.5 degrees, compared to 12.3 degrees in 2010. There were two dates with the same lowest temperature of 10 degrees, reached on Aug. 17 and 21.

August's mean temperature was 20.2 degrees, slightly warmer compared to 18.5 degrees in 2010 and for the long-term average. It was another rainy month for August, with a total precipitation of 162.1 mm, compared to 117.2 mm received in 2010 and 50.3 mm for the long-term average.

In July, the average high was 27.7 degrees, compared to 25.5 degrees in 2010. The average low was 15.0 degrees, compared to 13.0 degrees in 2010. The mean temperature was 21.3 degrees, compared to 19.3 degrees in 2010. There was 62.8 mm of precipitation received in June this year, compared to 48.4 mm received in July of 2010.

In June, the average high was 21.7 degrees, compared to 22.4 degrees in 2010. The average low was 11.3 degrees, compared to 10.5 degrees in 2010. The mean temperature was 16.5 degrees, close to the mean of 16.4 degrees in 2010.
