Weekly RCMP report

Between April 5 and April 11 the Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to 41 calls. On April 5 the RCMP received a call regarding a vehicle travelling at excess speeds on Highway 9 north of Carlyle.

Between April 5 and April 11 the Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to 41 calls.

On April 5 the RCMP received a call regarding a vehicle travelling at excess speeds on Highway 9 north of Carlyle. Members were in the area and began immediate patrols, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

A 23-year-old female was fined $230 for failing to stop at a stop sign.

A ticket of $115 was issued to a 25-year-old male for having tint on the front windows of his vehicle.

There was a collision reported on Highway 13 near Kisbey. The driver was transported to a hospital for checks. They had minor injuries. No charges were laid.

A two vehicle collision was reported near Carlyle on Highway 13. It was a minor "fender bender" and no one was injured.

A 34-year-old male has been charged with failing to abide by release conditions and is currently wanted by police.

Members responded to a 911 call in Redvers. Upon investigating the RCMP determined there was no emergency at the site and have been unable to locate the suspects who made the false call.

On April 6 members were dispatched to Highway 8 north of Redvers through a 911 call. It turned out the call was a medical emergency and EMS were contacted to assist at the scene.

There was a call received regarding a vehicle having gotten stuck in the back area of Moose Mountain Provincial Park. Five youth were in the vehicle. RCMP and SARM reached the youth and got them out safely. The vehicles were then towed out later, this included an RCMP vehicle that had become stuck after responding.

On April 7 members responded to a disturbance in Manor where RCMP were told intoxicated persons were fighting. The matter was investigated, but no one was arrested and no charges were laid.

A 911 call to a business in Arcola had RCMP respond, but no emergency was found and the call was determined to be false.

An alarm call from a business in Carlyle was received. Members attended finding the premise to be secure and the alarm to be false.

A pit bull was reported as being on the loose in the area north of Carlyle. RCMP were unable to locate the animal, but obtained details from the complainant. This file remains open.

A 37-year-old was charged with speeding and fined $198.

RCMP were asked to a residence in the Antler area for a disturbance. There was an altercation between two subjects at the house and RCMP are determining if charges will be laid.

A single vehicle collision on Highway 9 north of Carlyle was responded to. A vehicle had slid off of the highway and into the ditch. No one was injured.

On April 8 RCMP were called to the Forget area where a vehicle was vandalized. This matter is still under investigation.

A call to Highway 13 near Carlyle was responded to. The vehicle suffered damage from an unknown source and the matter remains under investigation.

A 911 call was received from a business in Carlyle, but it was determined there was no emergency and was a false call.

Members were dispatched to an area near Carlyle on Highway 13 for a two vehicle collision. One vehicle appears to have been attempting a u-turn along the highway when they were struck by a passing vehicle. The damage was said to have been minor.

RCMP were dispatched to Kisbey where a complainant explained they thought they had heard shots fired. Investigation showed that someone in town had set off fireworks, but as for whom the culprit was the RCMP is unsure.

April 9 saw a complaint of a dog roaming loose in Carlyle. RCMP located the owner and spoke with them regarding the town by-laws.

A hit and run in Wawota was reported. A vehicle was damaged while parked outside of a business. This matter is under investigation.

A complaint was received regarding an email from someone claiming to be with the Canada Revenue Agency. They were asking for a SIN number and other information. This incident was reported to Phonebusters.

There was a theft reported in Arcola. Property was stolen out of a residence. Members are continuing investigative proceedings.

On April 10 a 15-year-old youth was charged with failing to come to court, which has resulted in a bench warrant for his arrest.

Members received a call regarding a disturbance at a residence in Redvers. RCMP spoke with the caller who provided details of the incident, but as it was not happening at the time of the call members didn't respond.

A residence in the Carlyle area reported a 22-year-old male causing a disturbance. Members responded and removed the male from the home.

A complaint of a vacuum salesman conducting business suspiciously in the Carlyle area was received. The caller had contacted RCMP on behalf of a family member. Members spoke with the sales people. No offence was committed; but, RCMP did speak with the company about its business practices as well.

There was a deer collision with a single vehicle. The driver was not injured.

RCMP were dispatched to Highway 9 near Kenosee where an injured deer was put down.

On April 11 a complaint regarding a 46-year-old male uttering threats to harm someone was reported. Members are investigating these allegations.

RCMP were dispatched to a residence in Arcola for a disturbance. Members attended, but the parties involved had resolved the matter and no further action was needed by the RCMP.
