Weyburn Chamber opens nominations for Golden Sheaf Award

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce announced that nominations are now being accepted for the Golden Sheaf Award, which will be presented at Ag Appreciation Night.

Southeast area farmers, most currently busy with harvest, may be nominated for the Weyburn Chamber's annual Golden Sheaf Award, to be presented at the Ag Appreciation Banquet in November.

WEYBURN – The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce announced that nominations are now being accepted for the Golden Sheaf Award, which will be presented at Ag Appreciation Night.

The Golden Sheaf Award gives the Chamber the opportunity to recognize excellence in agricultural achievement and to help foster rural-urban understanding and consideration.

Golden Sheaf nominations are due by Friday, October 20, and can be picked up at the Chamber office or downloaded from the Chamber website at www.weyburnchamber.com.

The Ag Appreciation Night is an annual banquet to recognize the importance of agriculture in the local economy, celebrating the hard work and dedication of local producers and ranchers.

The program will include dinner, the presentation of the Golden Sheaf Award, and guest speaker Luc Mullinder.

The Ag Appreciation Night takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at McKenna Hall starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale.
