Weyburn companies say ‘Thank You’ to health care workers with a free lunch

Hospital workers were treated to free lunch from the Lowbrow BBQ truck

WEYBURN - Mryglod Steel and Metals, along with Southside Auto Wreckers, both based in Weyburn, provided a very tangible “thank you” to health care workers at the Weyburn General Hospital on Wednesday.

As a “small token of our appreciation”, the companies paid for a local food truck, Lowbrow BBQ, to park behind the hospital and to provide a free lunch to any of the health care workers who wished to have a meal.

The lunch included a sandwich, a side and a drink from the Lowbrow BBQ crew.

Over the summer, Mryglod had been providing donations to various non-profit groups and organizations via drop-offs of scrap metal in their bins, and “we have decided to send our thank s to those who are working the front lines day-in and day-out.”

There are plans to do the same at St. Joseph Hospital in Estevan, but no date has yet been determined for this event.
