Weyburn grad receives Junior Citizen Award

Weyburn Comprehensive School (WCS) Grade 12 student Cameron Ellerbeck was one of four Saskatchewan students to receive the Junior Citizen of the Year Award, sponsored by SaskPower and the Saskatchewan Weekly Newspaper Association (SWNA) in 2010.

Weyburn Comprehensive School (WCS) Grade 12 student Cameron Ellerbeck was one of four Saskatchewan students to receive the Junior Citizen of the Year Award, sponsored by SaskPower and the Saskatchewan Weekly Newspaper Association (SWNA) in 2010.The award was presented to him during his schools Activity Award ceremony on June 14. Four Saskatchewan youth between the ages of eight and 18 years old received the honour in 2010 for their outstanding commitment to others. Ellerbeck will receive a $3,000 bursary to put towards his post-secondary education as part of the honour.In addition to the Junior Citizen Award, Ellerbeck also received Male Athlete of the Year, basketball and soccer Leadership Awards, soccer MVP and a Block W for athletics at the WCS Activity Awards.
