Weyburn Police Association makes two large donations

Two donations of $5,000 were made to Weyburn Care-A-Van Society and Special Olympics

WEYBURN – Representatives of the Weyburn Police Association presented two donations of $5,000 each to two Weyburn organizations, the Weyburn Care-A-Van Society, and Weyburn Special Olympics.

These were proceeds from the police association’s annual golf tournament held over the summer, with many other agencies taking part.

In the first photo, Const. Riley Ross (left) and Const. Alyssa Kaczmar, presented a donation of $5,000 to June Fletcher of the Weyburn Care-A-Van Society, and driver Sandra Montgomery.

The organization has begun raising funds towards buying a new bus for transportation in Weyburn and area.

Representatives of the Weyburn Police Association presented a donation of $5,000 to Antonius Quist of Weyburn Special Olympics, to support local programming, including resuming the bowling teams for Special O athletes.

Antonius will be taking part on a bowling team at the upcoming Saskatchewan Winter Games, set for February in Regina.
