ASSINIBOIA - The Assiniboia Aquarians Speed Swimming club is gearing up for another swim season.
The club has been providing local youth ages five and older the opportunity to compete in speed swimming for over 30 years.
It is organized by a board of volunteers, and the club hires coaches to provide quality instruction in stroke technique, endurance, and speed.
The club practices four evenings a week in June and July at the Assiniboia Aquatic center. Numerous swim meets happen throughout the season, allowing the club an opportunity to compete against other summer swim clubs in the province. Swimmers can also advance to the Semi-Finals and Provincial Finals, which is being held in Weyburn this year.
The club is looking forward to their first regular season post Covid and are excited to welcome new members to their group.
