The Assiniboia Rockets never lost a set during regionals as they defeated teams in straight sets from Biggar and Clavet in pool play action.

The hometown squad then faced off against the Shaunavon Shadows in the semifinals winning 25-14 and 25-7.

This set up a rematch of last year’s west regional final against the Unity Warriors. In front of a loud hometown crowd in the ACHS gym, the Rockets won 25-10 and 25-21 to capture their second straight west regional championship title.

The Assiniboia Rockets advance to the 3A Boys Provincial Championship which will be held in Unity on Nov. 24 and 25.

All of their matches will be livestreamed on the SHSAA website (www.shsaa.ca).
