After returning home from their three game road trip, the Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins swung a trade with the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Heading to Dauphin is 20-year-old forward Kyle Johnson. The Buena Vista native had six goals and 12 assists for 18 points with the Bruins this year, and was an alternate captain.

In return, the Bruins get a skilled 19-year-old forward in Chris Daniels. Daniels, who hails from Winnipeg, has 13 goals and 13 assists in 26 games so far this season.

"He played in Weyburn and got traded out to Cowichan (BCHL) last year, said Bruins' general manager Karry Biette of the 5'10", 188 lb. forward. "He's a top six forward; a pretty versatile player and he'll fit in with our group. It also opens up a 20-year-old spot that may or may not come in handy down the road.

"(Daniels) was obviously a little shocked like every kid is, but he looked at the standings and saw where we were and or roster, and is excited to come in and help."

Daniels should be in Bruins lineup this Saturday when they travel to Weyburn.
