Bruins win seventh straight by beating Kindersley

The Estevan Bruins have now won seven straight games.

KINDERSLEY - Cam Hrdlicka made 37 saves to backstop the Estevan Bruins to a 3-0 win over the host Kindersley Klippers Friday night. 

The game was scoreless until Salvatore Collora scored a power-play goal for Estevan midway through the second period. It was Collora's first goal in the SJHL.

Estevan then had a couple goals from their veteran players in the third, with Cody Davis scoring a short-handed goal 7:03 into the third period, and Mitch Kohner putting the game away with an empty-netter with 38 seconds left in the third. 

Thirteen of Hrdlicka's saves came in the third period, when the Bruins were outshot 13-4. Logan Falk stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced for Kindersley.

The next game for the Bruins will be Oct. 15 when they visit the Battlefords North Stars at 7:30 p.m. The Stars suffered their first loss of the season Friday night in a 2-1 shootout defeat against the Melfort Mustangs.
