On February 5th, a few girls from the Carlyle Figure Skating attended the Weyburn Competition. There were over 250 skaters in this competition coming from all over Saskatchewan. Our skaters did amazingly well for being in their first year of introductory. Some of our young 6-9 year old skaters were competing against girls as old as 12! The confidence building and experience that these girls are achieving in skating in front of many fans is truly the real prize; but the following is a list of the judging results.
These girls were in different flights: Introductory FreeSkate: Kyla Fischer 2nd, Denae King 7th, Rylan King 6th, Rese King 7th and Madison Cuddington 6th. Introductory Elements: Kyla 5th, Denae 7th, Madison 6th, Rese 6th, and
Rylan 6th. Introductory Jumps: Kyla 4th, Rylan 2nd, Denae 6th, Madison 6th, and Rese 6th. Introductory Spins: Kyla 5th, Denae 3rd, Madison 4th, Rese 3rd and Rylan 3rd. Team: 5th.
