On the weekend of December 4-5, the Carlyle Figure Skating Club sent some great representatives to compete in the Region 1: Southeast Invitational Competition hosted by the Moosomin Skating Club. Halle Doty was Carlyle's highest level participant in the Preliminary Level. Halle placed 4th in both her Free Skate and Elements. Brooke Valentine represented Carlyle in the Pre-Preliminary. Brooke placed 5th in Elements, 6th in Spin and also competed in the Free Skate and Jumps.Kyla Fischer, Madison Cuddington, Rese King, and Rylan King represented Carlyle in the Introductory Level. In Free Skate, Kyla placed 2nd and Rese placed 3rd in their flight, while Madison placed 4th and Rylan placed 5th in their flight. In Elements, Kyla placed 4th and Rese placed 5th in their flight, while Rylan placed 6th and Madison placed 7th in their flight. These 4 girls concluded their day in the team event. Dressed up in their Rider gear, team "Carlyle Girls" did a fantastic job and brought home 2nd place medals.A great day was had by all.
