The Crescent Point Energy Wings travelled to Regina for a league game on December 5, where the Regina Sharks hosted, and after having a few days off, the team was well rested and ready to play.

In the first two minutes of play, Nivay Haupstein scored, with Ben Hiltz and Cole Rheaume assisting. On a power play, AP Logan Frison scored with Paul Dionne giving the assist. Thirty-five seconds later, Justin Bennett scored, with Logan Frison giving the assist. Ben Hiltz scored the last goal of the first period on a power play with Cole Rheaume assisting.

The start of the second period was a bit slower. The Sharks scored six minutes into the second period. Paul Dionne scored the second period's only goal with an assist coming from Miles Lund. The Sharks managed two more goals in the second period within a minute apart, which ended the second period of play with CP Wings leading 5-3.

The third period sees the CP Wings come alive. Ben Hiltz scores unassisted in under the first two minutes of play, and less than two minutes later, Paul Dionne got his second goal of the night with assists to Logan Frison and Justin Bennett. The Sharks come back and scored their fourth goal of the night, with an opportunity to score again when they were awarded a penalty shot, which was stopped. Cole Rheaume scored the eighth goal of the game with just two minutes left in play with an assist going to Jake Roettger.

The CP Wings won with a score of 8-4. Josh Dubiel faced 48 shots on net and got the win between the pipes.

The CP Wings will travel to Regina next weekend for two league games and host Moose Jaw on Sunday, December 12 in Weyburn.
