Estevan Bruins downed by Notre Dame

The Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins were upended 6-2 by the Notre Dame Hounds in Wilcox on Tuesday night. The loss comes just three days after beating the Hounds 2-1 at the Civic on Saturday.

Estevan fell into an early 3-0 hole in the first period and were not able to recover. Notre Dame scored again in the second, before putting the Bruins away with two more in the third.

Providing the Bruins' offence were Ben Findlay with his 12th of the season in the second frame and Dominic Perrault with his fourth in the third. Shea Cooper was in goal for the loss and made 23 saves.

Next up for Estevan is a home-and-home series with the Weyburn Red Wings this weekend. The first game will be at the Civic at 7:30 Friday night, while the second goes at Crescent Point Place in Weyburn on Saturday, also at 7:30 p.m.
