The Novice Carlyle Cougars had a very successful weekend of hockey. The practices are really paying off and the team has really come together to provide the parents and fans with some extremely entertaining games.

On Saturday, February 2, the Wawota Flyers came to town. Carlyle had Cooper Humphries between the posts, doing an outstanding job. What a close game! It was a hard fought, goal-for-goal game. Back and forth the teams raced. Wawota would score and Carlyle would answer. With 27 seconds left on the clock, Wawota had tied the game. Carlyle's Colby Cuddington scored the game winner with 17 seconds left! What a shot! The end result was a 13-12 win for Carlyle. Goals were scored by Colby, Cadence Chapman, Drayden Arndt and Tyrell Dixon. Logan Romaniuk earned an assist.

Sunday February 3rd, the Cougars travelled to Lampman. Again, with Cooper Humphries in net, Carlyle played very well both defensively and offensively. The passing plays were impressive and many players scored goals, including Colby, Drayden, Cadence, Tyrell, Carson Dangstorp and Krimson Standingready. Cadence also earned a couple of assists. The final score was 16-1 for Carlyle.

The Cougars' efforts have them currently tied for 4th in the division. Way to go team!
