Four Silver Seals members on podium at South Semi-Final

The Young Fellows Club of Weyburn donated $4,000 to the Weyburn Silver Seals, to be used to purchase medals for the provincial swim meet that will be hosted in Weyburn. Young Fellow members included Andy Barber, Todd Bedore, Chad Ror, Jeremy Wall, Ryan Bader, Braden Eberle, Chad Bailey (president) and Ray Jarvis. The provincial swim meet will be hosted at the Weyburn Leisure Centre on Saturday, July 23.

WEYBURN - Weyburn Silver Seals swimmers competed in the Saskatchewan South Semi-Final competition, held in Swift Current on July 16. Podium medalists from the Seals included: Jacob Gill, gold, boys 11-12; Tamberley Kreger, bronze, girls 13-14; Dalton Molnar, silver, boys 15-17; and Antonius Quist, gold, boys 18 and over.

The following are the results from the South Semi meet, listed by individual swimmer. Charlie Ashworth, male 9-10 category, fifth place in the 25 m butterfly, fourth in the 50 m breaststroke, eighth in the 50 m backstroke, third in the 100 m breaststroke, and fourth in the 50 m freestyle.

Emery Barker, female 13-14 category, 11th in the 100 m breaststroke, 12th in the 100 m freestyle, 10th in the 100 m backstroke, sixth in the 200 m breaststroke and 10th in the 50 m freestyle.Hailey Caldwell, female 11-12 category, eighth in the 100 m backstroke, 16th in the 50 m breaststroke, 12th in the 100 me freestyle, 12th in the 50 m backstroke and 16th in the 50 m freestyle.

Payton Caldwell, female 15-17 category, second in the 50 m butterfly, fifth in the 100 m freestyle, first in the 100 m butterfly, second in the 50 m freestyle, and third in the 200 m IM.

Jacob Gill, male 11-12 category, first place in the 25 m butterfly, 50 m breaststroke, 50m butterfly, 100 m breaststroke and 200 m IM.

Hayleigh Hovanak, female 11-12 category, sixth in the 100 m backstroke, 15th in the 50 m breaststroke, 10th in the 50 m backstroke, 11th in the 100 m breaststroke and 15th in the 50 m freestyle.

Dawson King, male 15-17 category, fifth in the 50 m butterfly, fourth in the 100 m breaststroke, fourth in the 100 m freestyle, second in the 200 m breaststroke and fifth in the 50 freestyle.

Marley Kradovill, female 15-17 category, fourth in the 200 m backstroke.

Tamberly Kreger, first in the 200 m backstroke, third in the 100 m freestyle, first in the 100 m backstroke and 50 m freestyle.

Bentley McKinney, male 7-8 category, fifth in the 50 m backstroke, fifth in the 25 m breaststroke, eighth in the 50 m freestyle, eighth in the 25 m backstroke and 10th in the 25 m freestyle.

Avryelle Molnar, female 11-12 category, second in the 200 m freestyle, third in the 25 m butterfly, ninth in the 50 m breaststroke, seventh in the 100 m breaststroke and first in the 50 m freestyle.

Dalton Molnar, male 15-17 category, first in the 100 m breaststroke, 100 m butterfly and 200 m breaststroke, third in the 50 m freestyle and second in the 200 m IM.

Daisy Popescu, female 11-12 category, placed third in the 100 m backstroke, sixth in the 50 m backstroke, sixth in the 100 m breaststroke, and 10th in the 50 m freestyle.

Lily Popescu, female 13-14 category, took second in the 50 m butterfly, fourth in the 100 m breaststroke, second in the 100 m freestyle and 50 m freestyle, and third in the 200 m IM.

Antonius Quist, male 18 and over category, placed first in the 100 m breaststroke, 100 m freestyle, 100 m backstroke and 50 m freestyle. Brenna Torkelson, female 9-10 category, took 11th in the 25 butterfly, 11th in the 50 m breaststroke, fifth in the 100 m freestyle, 12th in the 50 m backstroke and eighth in the 50 m freestyle.

Nash Warren, male 11-12 category, finished 11th in the 50 m freestyle.

Shay Warren, female 9-10, placed fourth in the 25 m butterfly, second in the 50 m backstroke, sixth in the 50 m freestyle and fourth in the 100 m IM.

Zane Warren, male 7-8 category, placed second in the 25 m butterfly, 10th in the 50 m freestyle, 12th in the 25 m backstroke and seventh in the 25 m freestyle. Cody Wig, male 7-8 category, third in the 50 m backstroke, fifth in the 50 m freestyle, fifth in the 25 m backstroke and fourth in the 25 m freestyle.

Elizabeth Wig, female 7-8 category, placed eighth in the 50 m backstroke, ninth in the 50 m freestyle, 10th in the 25 m backstroke and ninth in the 25 m freestyle.

Topher Wilkinson, male 9-10 category, took third in the 50 m breaststroke, fourth in the 50 m backstroke, seventh in the 50 m freestyle and fourth in the 100 m IM.
