Stormy weather didn't prevent the Legacy Golf Tournament from raising funds to help pay off the debt at the Weyburn Golf Course.

"We had huge success for the tournament, even though golfers were only able to play nine holes because of the weather. During the live auction, both the Brendon LaBatte and Brett Jones jerseys, both sold well," said Elmer Franks, organizer for the Legacy Golf Tournament.

For the Graham DeLaet canvas photograph, there was a "heads and tails" raffle. "This was really fun for everyone. Gave everyone a chance to win the item," said Frank.

Even with only nine holes played, Frank said that the bottom line of the tournament should be a little higher than last year, as they had 26 teams entered.
