Local motocross racers take top spots

Local and area riders took several of the top spots at a Canadian Motorsport Racing Corporation event held at the Moffat Pits on May 16. Weyburnite Codie Rouse earned first place overall in the Pro MX-2 after earning first place in both rounds.

Local and area riders took several of the top spots at a Canadian Motorsport Racing Corporation event held at the Moffat Pits on May 16.

Weyburnite Codie Rouse earned first place overall in the Pro MX-2 after earning first place in both rounds. He received second place in the Pro GP, with a third and second place finish in the two rounds.

Weyburn rider Greg Miller took first and second place in both beginner rounds, earning first place overall. In the youth division he got 18th and 14th place, receiving 16th place overall.

Clayton Richards of Weyburn took ninth place overall after 11th and eighth place finishes in the beginner rounds. He took 25th in youth after receiving 25th and 21st place finishes.

Yellow Grass rider Brody Farr took first place in the Super-Mini, receiving first in both rounds. He got second place in 85cc, ages 12 to 16 category, after getting first and third in the rounds.

Andrew Baird of Halbrite earned first in the intermediate MX-2, getting first in both rounds. In the youth category he took first again, earning fourth and first in the two rounds.

Another Halbrite native, Allan Baird, earned 13th overall in the junior MX-2, receiving 13th and 15th in the rounds. He took the 12th spot in youth, taking 13th and 14th in the rounds.
