One wrong move in the final laps of Friday's race in Mandan and Jay Noteboom would have lost his grip on this year's Dakota Classic Modified Tour title.

Noteboom finished fourth on the tour's final night, giving him 214 points for the week, just one more than Night 6 winner Matt Brack.

After failing to finish the race on Night 1 in Mandan, Brack never placed lower than fifth the rest of the way to give Noteboom all he could handle at the top of the leaderboard.

Aaron Turnbull was the top finisher from Estevan, tying for fourth in the final standings.

It was an impressive showing, considering Turnbull didn't enter the first race in Mandan.

He followed that up by placing second in Estevan, fourth in Williston, third and 10th in Dickinson, and second on Night 6 in Mandan.

Had Turnbull raced the first night and finished 10th or better, he would have won the tour.

Other Estevan finishers in the top 25 were Tyson Turnbull in 23rd and Les McLenehan in 24th.
