SaskGaming recorded net income before transfers of $52.6 million in 2012, an increase of $0.9 million (1.7 per cent) from 2011. To support the province's commitment to the First Nations Trust and Community Initiatives Fund, 50 per cent of its net income, totaling $26.3 million, was transferred to the General Revenue Fund. Additionally, the corporation declared a dividend distribution of $21.0 million to Crown Investments Corporation (CIC).

"SaskGaming is committed to offering its guests a responsible gaming experience that generates quality employment and economic benefits for the Saskatchewan public in partnership with First Nations," Minister responsible for SaskGaming Don McMorris said. "The corporation is a strong example of public sector diversity and its profits generate funding for communities across the province."

The Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation Act prescribes that 25 per cent of SaskGaming's profit be provided to each of the First Nations Trust (FNT) and Community Initiatives Fund (CIF). By agreement, a portion of the profits allocated to the CIF are provided to the Métis Development Fund.

"SaskGaming is focused on offering an outstanding guest experience, and we set a record attendance of 3.6 million guest visits in Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw in 2012, a 2.4 per cent increase above our 3.5 million guest visits in 2011," SaskGaming President and CEO Twyla Meredith said. "In 2012, we concentrated on modernizing gaming operations to support increased efficiency and effectiveness. Enhancements at Casino Regina included centralized cash desks, an automated parking system and a new ticketing system for the Show Lounge."
