Red Wings fall to Klippers

The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings were on the road tonight in Kindersley to face the Klippers and despite dominating the majority of the game, the Red Wings were unable to get a win.

The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings were on the road tonight in Kindersley to face the Klippers and despite dominating the majority of the game, the Red Wings were unable to get a win.

Jordin Kojima started off the scoring for the game during a power play in the first period. Less than a minute later, former Red Wings Dawson McKenzie, scored a power play goal for the Klippers.

In the second period, the Klippers were able to break the tie and move ahead of the Red Wings by two.

Just over a minute into the third period, Jevon Schwean made it 3-2 giving the Wings hope to come back. 

However, the Klippers scored two more goals before the end of the period and the Red Wings took the 5-2 loss.

The Red Wings now travel to Warman for the SJHL Showcase. On Sunday, the take on the Battleford North Stars and on Monday they face the Flin Flon Bombers. Both games start at 7 p.m.
