Residents who like to run will have the opportunity to do just that while raising money for a worthy cause this summer.
Weyburn's Opportunity Road Race is a five, 10 or 15-kilometre race that will take place on Sunday, August 21. All proceeds from race entries will go to the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation.A fundraiser breakfast will also be held by the Weyburn Comprehensive School's Student Representative Council (SRC), with all breakfast proceeds going to the SRC.The race will start and finish at Mel's On Third, taking place from 8 to 11 a.m.
Early Bird registration is $45 per runner, due by August 13. This includes a shirt, grab bag, and pancakes, sausage, and fruit breakfast. Later registration will be $55 and does not guarantee a shirt or entry grab bag.Registration forms are available at Mel's On Third and Olympia Fitness.
