It was a great weekend in the pool for the Estevan Sharks water polo program, as they travelled to Saskatoon with five teams for provincials and they all came home with medals.

The Sharks also clinched the high points trophy for both the atom division and bantam divisions.

The Estevan atoms sent two teams to provincials. The boys team went undefeated, and they defeated the Regina Armada 14-3 in the gold medal game.

The atom girls played three exciting games against the Regina team, and an exhibition game against the under-14 team. They advanced to the final, which they lost 13-12 to Regina.

The bantam Sharks also had two teams in provincials. The bantam boys went 4-0 during the weekend, with two wins each over Regina and Weyburn. The second win over Regina was a 7-5 victory in the provincial final.

The bantam girls, meanwhile, went 1-0-1 in the round robin, and also advanced to the gold medal game against the Regina Armada, which went to a shootout. The girls lost 9-8 and took home the silver medal.

The Estevan Shark cadet girls won their first two games 8-5, but in the gold medal game they fell short with a 4-3 loss against Regina.
