Silver Seals host swim meet

The Weyburn Silver Seals held their annual swim meet on July 7 with 48 club members participating.

The Weyburn Silver Seals held their annual swim meet on July 7 with 48 club members participating. There were a total of 189 competitors in attendance from Assiniboia, Estevan, Gravelbourg, Humboldt, Lloydminster, Oxbow, Regina, Moosomin, Swift Current and Weyburn.

The Weyburn club came in third place overall, with the following swimmers receiving aggregate medals:

7-8 year-old girls: McKinley Thomas-Perry earned a bronze medal; 7-8 year-old boys: Tre Thompson earned a silver medal; 11-12 boys: Tyler Grieve earned a silver medal; 15-17 year-old girls: Callahan Huebner earned a gold medal and Tana Wilkins earned a bronze medal; 15-17 year-old boys: Steven Speers earned a gold medal and Dakken Bedore earned a bronze medal.

Aggregate medals are awarded to the top three competitors in each age category receiving the most points for their teams.
