The Battlefords North Stars used a goal by defenceman Woody Klassen with one second left in regulation to send their contest with the Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins to overtime last night. Blake Tatchell then scored 4:41 into the extra frame to give the Stars a 6-5 victory.

Mark Cross opened the scoring for the Bruins in the first period, only to see Battlefords reply with three goals in the second, and one early in the third to take a 4-1 lead.

Estevan came roaring back with four tallies of their own in the third off the sticks of Kyle Johnson, Ben Findlay, Troy Hunter and Ryan Andersen, and with that the Bruins had a 5-4 advantage with under a minute to play.

Enter Klassen, with one second left to tie the game, and then Tatchell in OT, and the North Stars were victorious 6-5.

The Bruins (14-6-2-1) cap-off their three game trip tonight in Humboldt. They'll be back on the ice on Tuesday when Yorkton visits the Civic Auditorium.
