Two Estevan Bruins win SJHL Player of the Month Awards

Hrdlicka and Ziegler saluted for their play during the month.

ESTEVAN - Two members of the Estevan Bruins were saluted for their strong play in November.

Cam Hrdlicka was named the SaskTel Goalie of the Month Award winner. Hrdlicka boasted a 6-1 record with a 2.05 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. The Calgary product also registered three shutouts during the month, bringing his total to four on the season, which leads the SJHL.

The 19-year-old has already played over 1,400 minutes of hockey this season.

Logan Ziegler was named the DirectWest Rookie of the Month. Ziegler has been one of the top forwards for the Black and Gold in his first season in the SJHL. In nine games in November, the 18-year-old from Calgary registered four goals and six assists, which was highlighted by a three-point night on Nov. 3 in which Ziegler had two goals and an assist in a win over the Humboldt Broncos.

Ziegler sits with six goals and 16 assists on the year, which is first among rookies in the league.

Zander Stewart of the Nipawin Hawks was named the SuperU Defenceman of the Month, and Jeremi Tremblay of the Flin Flon Bombers was the SGEU MVP of the Month.
