Under-14 girls soccer team wins gold

The Weyburn under-14 Junior Red Devils girls' soccer team has won gold at the Harder Avalon Classic soccer tournament in Saskatoon for the second straight year.

The Weyburn under-14 Junior Red Devils girls' soccer team has won gold at the Harder Avalon Classic soccer tournament in Saskatoon for the second straight year. Weyburn went undefeated, and didn't surrender a goal, en route to taking top spot in Division 3. The Junior Red Devils opened with a 3-0 victory over the Aurora Polaris, and followed that up with a 9-0 win over the Aurora Callisto and a 6-0 triumph over the Hollandia Rage. In the semi-final, Weyburn edged the Aurora Avalanche 1-0, and in the final, they once again defeated the Aurora Polaris 3-0.
