Weyburn Comp athletes run at Cross Country provincials

A team of runners represented Weyburn at the cross-country provincials held at the Wapiti Ski Hill

WEYBURN – A number of cross-country athletes from the Weyburn Comprehensive School attended the provincial competition on Saturday at the Wapiti Ski Hill, with the following results.

For the Intermediate Girls, out of 101 athletes, Jyllian Payak ran in a time of 15:08 to place 51st, and Olivia Pederson ran a time of 15:26 to place 59th.

For the Intermediate Boys, out of 101 athletes, Camden Husband ran in 11:21 to place fifth overall, and Nash Hignett ran in a time of 11:48 to finish in 14th.

The southeast won the intermediate boys team title with Camden, Nash, Luke Holman, second, of Moosomin, and Jordan Mcfarlane, seventh, of Carnduff.

For the Junior Girls, out of 66 athletes, Willow Davis ran a time of 22:47 to place 45th, and Anna Tronson ran a time of 22:49 to place in 46th.

For the Senior Girls, out of 81 athletes, Autumn Vilcu ran a time of 19:04 to place 20th.

In the Senior Boys, out of 96 athletes, Calder McMillan ran with a time of 21:59 for 39th place; Emerson Jack ran in 22:39 to finish 52nd, and Mason Sidloski ran in a time of 23:35 to finish in 66th.
