Weyburn Comp Int. boys compete in Crush tournament in Regina

The intermediate boys will be travelling to Brandon for a tourney this weekend.

The Comp Eagles intermediate boys played at the Crush Tournament in Regina over the Sept. 17 weekend.

WEYBURN – The Weyburn Comp Eagles Intermediate Gr. 9/10 boys travelled to Regina to compete in the Crush tournament held at Campbell Collegiate over the Sept. 17 weekend.

The boys played three games in the round robin, splitting two games, and losing one.

They split games with O’Neill, losing the first game 25-16, and then winning the second game 25-12, and Campbell Collegiate, losing the first game 28-26 and winning the second game 25-13.

They lost two games to LeBoldus on Saturday morning by scores of 25-13 and 25-18, which put them in third place in their pool.

They crossed over and played Winston Knoll in the quarter-final but unfortunately fell in two straight games, losing 25-17 and 25-15 to end the day.

Their next action is at the University of Brandon tournament this weekend, on Sept. 23 and 24.

The WCS Eagles senior girls volleyball team will be hosting a home tournament this weekend at the WCS Eagle gym, with games starting at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Sept. 23.
